A logo set for Lydia Trott, a doula serving Philadelphia. She was looking for something feminine, but not too "pretty". The focus of most doulas is to support the mother in her natural design to bear children. Woman power!
At first Lydia was turned off by the idea of using a stork because of the connotations associated with bringing a baby. We chose to view it in a different way: the doula serves as the proverbial stork, to aid the mother in birthing the child. In this design the stork is a metaphor for a doula.
